How many Crypto friendly European Banks are there?
I was rather taken aback by this headline as per FFnews — Coinhouse raises 15 million euros to become the first European crypto bank.
Is this headline misleading? Is this really the first Crypto Bank?
There are a few Banks in the UK that claim to be crypto-friendly, and Revolut for example allow you to hold bitcoin. However, the definition of Crypto Bank implies money transfers.
Currently, there is only a handful of Banks and EMIs allowing this. Even the ones that allow this have many restrictions, so that is why the creation of new real Crypto Banks is a real opportunity.
Today, there is fragmentation in that banks are reluctant or do not have the ability to transact in cryptos. So, there is now a clear need for an integrated solution that links:
